Just 2 minutes by car (or a 12-minute walk if you're feeling energetic). During the day you can pick up local vegetables and souvenirs, and at night the 24-hour FamilyMart inside is always ready to welcome you. The car park is huge — you'll never struggle to find a spot.

「あれ、思ったより寒いんだけど!?」そんな時もご安心を。約260坪の広い店内では欲しい服が見つからないほうが難しい。店内にはクライミングピナクルもあって、天候を気にせずクライミング体験もできちゃいます。

If you suddenly realise it's much colder than expected, don't panic — Montbell has your back. With a shop this huge, it's almost impossible not to find something warm. There's even an indoor climbing pinnacle for a go at climbing without worrying about the weather.

八ヶ岳山麓の地下600mから汲み上げた天然軟水と、東信地域育ちの豚で作る本格ハム・ソーセージ。軟水が塩の旨みを引き出し、寒暖差の大きい高冷地育ちの豚は締まった肉と甘い脂が魅力。本場ドイツにも負けないクオリティです。

Made with naturally soft spring water drawn from 600 metres underground and pork raised in the highland climate of eastern Nagano. The pure water brings out the salt's flavour, and the firm, sweet-fat meat gives their products a quality worthy of Germany itself.

かつては造り酒屋だった四ツ目屋。今は"お酒とお薬が同じ場所で買える"ちょっと攻めたお店。黒沢酒造の酒樽がドーンと飾られ、地酒の品揃えは本気。「井筒長」から限定酒まで、つい手が伸びるラインナップです。

A former sake brewery turned "liquor & drug store" where you can sort out both your health and your evening drinks. The liquor corner features an impressive range of local sake — from Izutsucho to limited editions you'll only find here.

新鮮でおいしいお肉がそろう、地元に根付いたお肉屋さん。夏はキャンプ客がキロ単位で肉を抱えていき、年末は"帰省家族のためのごちそう肉"を求める人で大にぎわい。一番のおすすめは国産の馬刺し！人気すぎて売り切れ必至なので、事前に電話しておくと安心です。

A well-loved local butcher known for fresh, high-quality meat. In summer, campers stock up by the kilo, and at year-end the shop fills with locals choosing special cuts for family gatherings. The star is their domestic horse sashimi — so popular it often sells out, so calling ahead is recommended.

八ヶ岳の麓を流れる清流をそのまま使った、ほぼ"天然ミネラルウォーター育ち"の環境。そこで育った信州サーモンは、くせがなく脂がしっかりのっていて危険な美味しさ。季節によってはヤマメやイワナも登場します。

Using crystal-clear mountain water so pure it's basically nature's own mineral water. Their Shinshu Salmon is clean-tasting yet wonderfully rich. Depending on the season, you'll also find yamame or iwana.

道の駅に併設するやちカフェでは、八千穂高原の湧き水を使った"ここでしか飲めない珈琲"が楽しめます。エスプレッソと爽やかなミルクを練り込んだオリジナル珈琲ソフトは本当に危険級のおいしさ。外の景色を眺めながらホッと一息つける、ゆるっとした癒しスポットです。

Tucked inside the roadside station, Yachicafe serves coffee made with pure spring water from the Yachiho Plateau — the kind you can only drink here. Their original coffee soft-serve is dangerously good. A lovely spot to sit back and admire the view.
